This reel looks likes it comes from the future, its fully chromed. This reel is one of the new generations of super bling bling reels, a typical Chinese reel which had set a new standard on how reels are going to look in the future. A company like Quantum is also following this design were lots of shiny bling bling parts are used in their reels. Is this Okuma a good reel ? Yes it is, mechanically its very smooth, 10 ball bearings take care of that. For the price its actually a very good reel. There are however two items which are no so good, first the reel is a bit to heavy for its size I believe, there are lighter reel available with the same size spool, so certainly for lure fishing I would select something else with a lighter weight. Secondly the nice bling bling finish on this reel is very easy to damage, after some time of hard use the reel will certainly look not so nice anymore as some of the chroom will be gone. If you don't care than this is not an issue. | |
