REMARKS: | I bought this reel for less than $20 at the Wall-Mart in Pittsburgh area in the spring of 2008.
This reel is much better the the previous Avocet model, its more smooth.
If you need a simpel and cheap reel , this is not a bad choice, it performs very well.
It looks its body and rotor are made from aluminium, but this is not the case; it has been made from plastic with a aluminium looking paint job, looks very good indeed.
The drag is good and I like the thick bail, also the aluminium spool is made very nice for a reel under $20.
There is also a gold version of these reels, it has more ball bearings. |
